Cookies policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026 · Version 2.0
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser and which is sent back to the server on every request. Local storage (localStorage) is a different mechanism: it keeps information in the browser but is never transmitted to the server. The applicable rules in Spain are article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the cookie guidance published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
2. What we store, exactly
We apply strict minimisation. This is the complete inventory:
| Name | Mechanism | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
qz_lang |
localStorage (not a cookie) | Remember whether you prefer the site in Spanish or English, so we don't send you to the wrong language next time. | Until you clear your browser data | Technical |
That is all. We do not use:
- Third-party analytics cookies: there is no Google Analytics, no Hotjar, no equivalent.
- Advertising or remarketing cookies: no Google Ads, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight.
- Social network tracking pixels. We link to our LinkedIn profile, but embed nothing from it.
- Persistent storage for profiling or cross-session identification.
If we ever introduced analytics or third-party cookies, we would tell you first through a consent banner fully compliant with the GDPR and the Spanish guidance, letting you refuse them as easily as accept them.
3. How to remove it
You can clear local storage from your browser's privacy settings, alongside cookies. Once cleared, the site will decide the language again from your browser configuration.
4. External services loaded by the site
We load our typeface from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). That service may record your IP address in its technical server logs. It sets no cookies in this flow. If you would rather avoid even that interaction, block those domains in your browser: the site will render with system fonts and lose no functionality.
Photographs and the background video are served from our own domain. The video is additionally downloaded only on desktop screens, and never if you have data saver or reduced motion enabled.
5. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect regulatory or technical changes. The version in force will always be published at this same address, with its update date.
